2022 was our busiest year ever…until this year. May 2023 was the Pantry’s busiest month in its history, with more than double the number of visits compared to May 2022.

Our Philosophy
We believe that everyone has the right to a good meal. and we know that hunger works in complex ways. That’s why we never turn anyone away.
Serendipity
Our resale clothing boutique located in Downtown Bar Harbor. Serendipity is proudly 100% volunteer staffed. It helps our community by providing an on-island place to reuse and recycle clothing, by increasing access to affordable clothing in the area, and providing revenue for our hunger relief programs.
Hunger Relief
We support and nourish our community through a variety of programs which provide dignified access to healthy food. Our primary location, the Pantry on Mt. Desert Street, helped more than 720 households in 2022.
I don’t know what I would have done without the support and connection I’ve found at the pantry. We hope that things will pick up soon. But for now, having support from the pantry, it just peels away one layer of worry for my family. And I will never forget that. Ever.
